Car shows offer a great gathering place for car enthusiasts and those who want to learn more about classic and unique cars as well as for families or friends looking to find fun things to do together. When considering heading out to a car show, you will find that there are several to consider checking out within the year.

While Mayville-Portland is a close-knit family centered town where local businesses thrive and neighbors really take time to reach out to others, the city offers much more than just a little friendliness and support. Mayville is host to one of the biggest car shows in North Dakota and it is an ideal place for you to bring your family to see some cool cars or even to bring your own if you have a classic car, muscle car or show quality car of your own. Cruise to the Island Car Show – 25th Anniversary 

This car show will be the 25th annual Cruise to the Island Car Show in Mayville. Happening on September 10, 2017, everyone is invited to come out and enjoy the show or enter their classic cars. With hundreds of cars each year, they’re hoping to ensure the turnout this year is bigger than ever before. The show features not only some of the coolest cars in North Dakota and surrounding states but also features an food and beverage vendors and live entertainment all day long for the entire family. This great show in Mayville marks its 25th anniversary this year and they host all kinds of unique classic cars, specialty cars, muscle cars and other special vehicles. The 2016 event had over 360 cars and brought thousands of people to Mayville to not only enjoy looking at the cars, but also to shop the locally owned stores and to enjoy this family oriented event.

While the Cruise to the Island Car Show is the biggest show in the area you may also be interested in checking out some of the other great car shows held in North Dakota annually.

Devil’s Run Classic Car Show

Though a little bit of a drive to Devils Lake, North Dakota, this is North Dakota’s biggest classic car show throughout the entire state and one you may not want to miss out on. This show offers not only a cruise and car show, but you can also take advantage of the many other activities. With vendors, a flea market, swap meets, antique auctions and many other things to do, you won’t want to miss this one. This show will be held this year on June 2nd, 3rd and 4th. 12th Annual Charity Car and Bike Show

This show is held in Grand Forks to raise money for many of the community non-profit organizations within the area. Happening on September 17, 2017, you can come out and enjoy an evening of seeing some of the finest classic cars that North Dakota offers. With multiple raffles, dinner and plenty of family friendly activities for fun all day long, the event is one for a good cause.
