The 3rd Annual Bikes & Brews Cruise: A Ride for Jenny’s Warriors, will once again be held during May-Port SummerFest on June 21st at 7pm.
The ride starts in downtown Mayville across from the city library, and goes over to Portland for some refreshment stops at Floyd’s and PLS. We all pedal back to Mayville on the bike path for a few more stops to round out the night. Alcohol consumption is not mandatory, but you must be at least 21 to ride.
Cost is $20 and includes a t-shirt!
Retro rides or current classics are welcome, if you want to ride a classic one, ask me to reserve one for you. I have a handful of 30’s-60’s classic cruisers.
The ride itself raises money and awareness for the NF Walk in Moorhead in September for the “Jenny’s Warriors” team.
Jenny Rettig Karboviak fought NF-1 (neurofibromatosis) throughout her life and the ride is in her honor to raise awareness for those affected by NF and for research through the Children’s Tumor Foundation. Big things are happening in the research and development of new drugs that are shown to reduce tumors by up to 50%! Your efforts in fundraisers like this are making a difference!
