Mayville Public Library Board announces its upcoming story hour program, for ages 5 to 12. Parents please bring your child into the library building and be sure to pick up your child at the appropriate time. Tuesdays, start at 2:00pm to 2:45 P.M./2:50 P.M.
Registration will be held on Tuesday, June 2nd, all day from noon to 5 P.M. You may register your child at any time the library is open.
Summer hours:
- Tues. Wed. Thurs. Fri. | Noon to 5 P.M.
- Thursday night 6–9 P.M.
Mayville Women’s Club members will be the storytellers.
- Tuesday, June 2 – Register your child from noon to 5 P.M.
- Tuesday, June 9 – Super Heroes – Comic Book Characters (Dress as your favorite Comic Book Character)
- Tuesday, June 16 – Greek Heroes (Emphasis on Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series)
- Tuesday, June 23 – History Heroes (Emphasis on Presidents)
- Tuesday, June 30 – No Story Hour – Closed for the 4th of July
- Tuesday, July 7 – Tall Tales and Dog Heroes
- Tuesday, July 14 – Star Wars and Lego Fun
- Tuesday, July 21 – Water part and drawing for prizes. This concludes the summer reading program for 2015. Be sure to dress for water play and bring an umbrella. Should it be raining, party will still be held with movie shown and also drawing for larger prices. Must be present to win.
All book bags have been donated by the Sister’s Choice Book Club.
Reading motivators (small prizes) will be given to each child after each story hour. Remember that you can still bring your child to the library even after the Summer Reading Program is over. Story time for summer keeps your child learning through reading. The library is happy to report that it has many books available that are approved reading by the Common Core’s standards.
