Hardware Hank owners Tim and Sue Strand are looking forward
to the Mayville store’s re-grand opening May 4-6.
A staple of downtown Mayville will show off some of its new happenings during an upcoming event. Hardware Hank is putting together plans for its grand re-opening celebration Thursday, May 4, Friday May 5 and Saturday, May 6. “I think it’s a good opportunity for the community to come in and take a look at what we have done,” store owner Tim Strand told the Tribune.
Tim and his wife, Sue, have owned the Mayville Hardware Hank location for the past 23 years. It’s been a good ride, he noted. The staff is excited for its upcoming celebration. Last fall, the store was re-set and re-arranged a bit. One addition to the store was a new paint color rack that was installed late in the fall. “We made some changes,” Tim commented. “The spring is a good time to show them off to everyone.”
The event will include special deals and coupons for all three days of the celebration sale. “It should be a lot of fun,” he added. “We hope everyone will stop in and take a look.”

Saturday, May 6:
- 8 a.m. – Noon, Free knife sharpening
- 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Face painting
- 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Free lunch
