A World-Class Education In A Hometown Setting
Schools are places of possibilities – for learning, for growing, for understanding. Quality education is part of our heritage here in Mayville-Portland. Our earliest settlers created the historically- significant Bruflat Academy and today we’re home to May-Port CG Public Schools and Mayville State University, two award-winning educational systems that provide a safe, nurturing environment and a world-class education to students of all ages from all walks of life.

A Commitment to Excellence
Mayville and Portland partner with nearby Clifford and Galesburg, North Dakota, for K-12 education. Area residents are committed to a strong public school system for their children and have built advanced educational facilities for elementary, middle, and high school students. The result is a school district with about 620 students and 70 faculty and staff. Kids are encouraged to take advantage of our many possibilities: from academics to athletics, from music to speech! Small class and team sizes ensure that everyone gets the attention they deserve.
